Ontario Utility Management Seminar – Leveraging Technology to Optimize Utilities

The Water Environment Association of Ontario (WEAO) New Professionals Committee and the Ontario Water Works Association (OWWA) Young Professionals Committee are co-sponsoring the “Ontario Utility Management Seminar.” The technical program will be filled with speakers from municipalities with proven results in leveraging technology to optimize utilities. Topics include:

  • Performance Management
  • Technology Planning
  • Operations Data Management
  • Network Design and Security

Carl Yates, General Manager Halifax Regional Water Commission, will be the keynote speaker for the event. He will discuss how Halifax Water leverages their control system to make better decisions related to advanced water process control and the management of water loss.

The event will include information for managers and technology professionals. A series of case studies will present practical examples from utilities including Hamilton, Ottawa, York, Halton, and Toronto.

The event registration fee is $250 for WEAO/OWWA members. Registration is available through WEAO. Lunch and coffee break is included.
