Eramosa Engineering is pleased to have been awarded the SCADA integration work for the upgrades to the Fort McMurray Water Treatment Plant in the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo. The project includes upgrades to existing Modicon Quantum PLCs, implementation of new PAC 3000 PLCs for new process areas, integration of 20+ remote sites over wireless and leased line connections, vendor panels for the pre-treatment and UV systems as well as integration of the building automation system, fire & security and electrical monitoring and control system. The SCADA system will be the GE Proficy iFix HMI with GE Proficy Historian for historical data collection. Our team will be working closely with Bird Construction who is the general contractor on this project, as well the electrical and mechanical contractors. Associated Engineering (Edmonton) is the design consultant for this project. The Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo is the largest municipality in Canada covering more than 68,454 square kilometres. We look forward to working closely with the municipality on this project as we continue to seek opportunities in western Canada. For more information contact Adam McCardle – mccardle@eramosa.com.
